If Shane could describe what he loves about Chick-fil-A in one word, it would be camaraderie. Since his days in college spent alongside his fellow Chick-fil-A team mates, he’s treasured the friendships and family he’s found within the walls of the restaurant.
After some time away, he knew it was something he wanted again. So he joined a restaurant in Colorado Springs as the general manager, and in 2003, he became a Chick-fil-A operator.
Shane loves to invest into the team members who are an integral part of making Chick-fil-A Southlands a success.
“If they’re going to help me to grow my business, I need to invest in their future as well — helping them gain the skills that will help them later in life.”
Here at Chick-fil-A Southlands, we are surrounded by neighborhoods filled to the brim with young families who love to share a meal in our restaurant. And when they come to us in need of help with their school fundraiser, we always try to lend a helping hand.
Through our Spirit Night fundraisers, we get to partner with sports teams, after-school clubs and other student organizations in helping them achieve their goals.
Because when you love your community like we do, you do your best to care for whatever need there may be.
Set Up for Success
There are always opportunities to learn and grown when you work at Chick-fil-A Southlands. We’re big believers in not only teaching our team members how to do something, but why we even do it in the first place.
When they learn to say “my pleasure” in response to every “thank you,” it’s not just because that’s the Chick-fil-A way. It’s because we believe in treating each and every guest with honor, dignity and respect. And that’s just one small way we can do that.
Team members also know that when they take off their name tag for the last time, they will be walking out those doors with a better sense of how to serve people, how to work hard and how to develop a great work ethic. Because even if they’re only with us for a short time, we believe we are helping to build a foundation for the rest of their lives.
