As an operator in Denver for more than 30 years, Doug knows a thing or two about what it means to serve people and develop leaders through the work of Chick-fil-A.
Since opening his Park Meadows on County Line Rd restaurant in 1998 — the first freestanding Chick-fil-A in the Denver market — Doug has seized every opportunity to develop leaders not only in his restaurant, but in the community around him. Whether it’s speaking about leadership at a local high school, training church volunteers how to serve guests well on Sundays, or just stopping by to visit a fellow business owner in Park Meadows Mall, Doug is passionate about investing in the lives of those in and around Lone Tree.
“I’ve always said selling chicken is just a means to an end,” says Doug. “For me, it’s all about influencing and developing people to make leaders — and even more than that, just affecting people’s lives for the good.”
Small Community, Big Heart
The city of Lone Tree may be small in landscape, but when it comes to opportunities to serve and join forces with the community, the possibilities are endless. And that’s what we love about our city here at Chick-fil-A Park Meadows on County Line Rd.
You’ve probably seen our catering vehicles traveling down County Line Road or parked outside of one of the many office buildings in the area. You’ve maybe even enjoyed one of our delicious chicken sandwiches at a company picnic. Whether it’s a major corporation or a local small business, we love to be able to serve the hardworking folks in our community. And hopefully a couple Chick-n-Minis go a long way to make those staff meetings a little more enjoyable.
We’re proud to serve alongside the Douglas County Sherriff and the Lone Tree Police Department. From serving a hot meal to someone who may need it, to opening our doors to serve in the midst of a crisis, it’s a privilege to get to work with the brave men and women on our police force.
Building the Next Chick-fil-A Generation
After 20 years in business, we’ve had the privilege of seeing many team members flourish in their careers with Chick-fil-A. In fact, 12 of our team members have gone on to become operators of their own Chick-fil-A restaurants.
It’s a true joy when former team members stop for a visit years later. And many of them with kids of their own who are now the same age as they were when they worked for us.
And we believe that the qualities and skills our team members learn when they work here at Chick-fil-A Park Meadows on County Line Rd will benefit them the rest of their lives, no matter where life takes them.
