You could say that Chick-fil-A is a family business for the Goettsches. Before becoming an operator, all four of Barrie’s children worked for Chick-fil-A through their high school careers. And two of her sons, Craig and Cory, are Operators (Craig at Chick-fil-A Greenwood Village, Cory at Chick-fil-A Logan, Utah).
When she felt the time had come to move on from her career in the tech industry, Barrie began to search for her next adventure. For so many years, she had seen the positive influence Chick-fil-A had on her children’s lives. So after some encouragement, she began the process of becoming an operator.
Today, Barrie loves that she gets to give to her own team members the same opportunities her children had to learn and grow as individuals.
Heart of the Community
Whether it’s a Daddy Daughter Date Night, a homecoming parade or participating in the halftime show at a local high school football game, community is at the heart of everything we do here at Chick-fil-A Larkridge.
Our guests welcome us into their everyday lives and routines when they come in for a meal during their lunch break or stop for a quick snack on the way to soccer practice. So, we love to return the favor by getting involved wherever we can in the communities that surround us.
You’ll probably see us at quite a few sporting events, bringing Chick-fil-A sandwiches and cheering on the home team. Or, you may spot a Cow or two at opening day of the Anthem Ranch swimming pool. Because Cows may not be able to swim, but who doesn’t love a day at the pool? And you can bet we’ll be ringing in the Christmas season at Erie’s Country Christmas and Parade of Lights!
Sometimes a community just needs a helping hand. During the terrible flooding in Lyons, many families had to leave their homes. We were honored to be able to host them for a hot meal and a place to gather as they began the rebuilding process.
