Meet the Operator

Scott Wehn

Scott has been a Chick-fil-A Operator for more than 15 years. But if you ask him, the passion for the restaurant industry has been in his blood for his entire adult life. Today, he enjoys operating two restaurant locations — 104th & Federal in Federal Heights and 120th & Washington in Thornton.

Scott loves the servant heart and leadership of Chick-fil-A and the commitment to taking care of others and the community around each restaurant.

“Life is so short,” says Scott. “I think we’re here to serve others; whether its individuals, small groups or organizations. When we volunteer our time by serving others, we give ourselves deeper purpose and meaning that nearly always leads to greater happiness.”

In Our Communities and Around the World

At Chick-fil-A 104th & Federal and 120th & Washington, we know that quality service goes far beyond just serving a delicious chicken sandwich. We believe we’re called to play a part in positively influencing the lives of people not only in our own communities, but around the world.

That’s why we love to partner with organizations like Operation Christmas Child. Each year, we serve as a drop-off location for shoeboxes filled with Christmas gifts for children living in poverty across the globe. In addition to that, our team actively volunteers at Operation Christmas Child’s processing center. Click here to learn more about how you can serve.

After a local Chick-fil-A Operator lost his daughter to leukemia, we also knew we wanted to play a part in the fight against cancer. Which is why we joined forces with the Love Hope Strength Foundation — a local organization committed to offering help and hope to those battling cancer through hosting fundraising concerts across the country. At our restaurants, we host bone marrow drives to potentially find lifesaving matches to give hope to those who would otherwise be denied the chance of life as they navigate through blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. And there’s nothing like getting to love on our neighbors in our own backyard. Like hosting Spirit Night fundraisers for schools in the area. Or partnering with Relay for Life, Bonfils, A Precious Child and other various food banks.

Doing Life Together As a Team

To us, working at Chick-fil-A 104th & Federal and 120th & Washington is more than just a job. It’s being a part of a team that feels a little more like family than coworkers.

It’s about developing our team members into better leaders and better individuals than when they first put on that Chick-fil-A nametag. Through money management courses, our leaders learn to be good stewards of our money in the restaurant — and in turn, their own finances.

And whether it’s a football watching party at the Wehn house, dinners out with the entire leadership team and spouses, going to a Rockies game or some friendly competition over a corn hole tournament, we love some good ol’ fashioned family bonding with the team.
